Hi everyone, I need to buy a larger radiator for my nova race car. its only a 1400 but I need the best cooling I can get, is there a company that makes rads specially for nova's or is there a different type that is used for 2 litres novas and turbo'd novas etc?
My 1400 ex track Nova had a diesel Corsa b radiator.

I think most people use the gsi rad but you can buy an alloy rad from tx autosport

As above GTE or Gsi alloy rads the best standard setup your gona get but I'd think a new standard Gsi rad would be plenty good for a 1.4 and a lot cheaper but alloy looks cool lol

It's easy to underestimate the effect of the fan & more importantly the shroud that directs the airflow through the radiator.
Short of fabricating a custom fan shroud setup, I think the best setup is going to be a proper OEM replacement 1600 rad & the GM fan in its shroud. Using a slimline fan cabled tied to any radiator is a sure-fire downgrade. Maybe in forest rallying the lack of airflow calls for a larger fan but I would insist this was built into a proper shroud if it were me.
Tx autosport is your best bet....
Mounting a fan to the front of the rad made the cooling 75% better in my xe. Well worth trying.
/\ and i would imagine it made a huge difference to the amount of clearance round the engine too.
OP, a properly maintained standard 1.4 setup will be more than capable of handling something like a 50% increase in power.. remember, they actually sold this car in north africa, so it is a fair bit over engineered in the cooling dept.
get yours flushed out & a new thermostat, then see if you need more cooling or not.
