Who knows what about android telly boxes? Been looking at them on eBay, but there is a multitude of different ones. Nyone got one? Opinions on best one to get?

Ultimately what do you want to do with a tv box?

Well, heard various things about them. My mate has an Apple tv, jailbroken version and gets alo t of tv, films etc.

Just wondering what the benefits are. Got my virgin tv package, but probably not using half of what I pay for. Seeing if getting a box nd ripping some channels, xbmc etc sill do the same or at least a similar job.

Interesting stuff stu, thanks. Quick search on eBay and you can buy packs with it pre loaded. Will research abit more on Google.

pete i got an xbmc mx2 for when im working away, great for streaming football and movies but normal channels like bbc etc not so good, it all depends on your internet speed too, fortunately i got a decent one here but tried it at home and its rubbish....

UPDATE:

Follwed up on this. Pi bought all programs downloaded...FAIL lol

Sportsdevil does not work, it installs but is an empty file. Icefilms seems to also have its faults. Done a fair bit of googling with no results.

Any ideas techy people lol

I've got a sumvision x2, pre- installed xbmc and full play store, works awesome with showbox and cartoon hd.

I have showbox and cartoon hd on my phone (HTC One). Got a widget off ebay to connect my phone to the telly using micro usb and HDMI port converter. Starting to think i should have stuck with that!!!
