Car not pulling

I changed the gear linkage on my 1.0 and now the car struggles to pull off, it's fine in reverse but all forward gears really strain the car to even move. Does it need aligning? If so how?

Sounds as if your gear linkage needs adjusting.

You can set the gearbox with a drill bit inserted in the housing on top (hold the lever in neutral, aligned with 3rd / 4th, then adjust the linkage by the pinch bolt.

Ye sounds like your in 3rd and 4th not 1st 2nd get someone to help you re adjust it
