Fuel gauge goes straight off the clock when u knock ifnition on ? Been told earth problem but dunno where the earths are ? Any help or advice would be a great help

I think it's more likely to be the sender float in the tank that needs looking at or replacing mate.

Earth is in passanger foot well if you look up on the a pillar
there is one in the boot also just below the boot latch these closest to the pump also clean the thermals and plugs on the sender unit tank

Ok thnz for ur advice its gone off the clock it was fine one sec then it went right off the clock then it went back ok then it went again and now its just over as far as it will go when you put ignition on :/

Either the sender or resistor on the back of the gauge

^ sounds more like an electrical issue to me that, as the gauge moves bloody slow when its working properly, and even if the sender was sticky/stuck, wouldn't cause it to go off the clock surely ?

I would see if the wire had a little split in it and is grounding out. As in the wire that goes to the sender in the tank

It goes up slowly but goes of clock

i have the same prob with my gauge did you fix the prob mathew93 ?
