Does anyone have a list or is there a site for all vauxhall engine range and their identification number? i saw a page once but i just can't find it again.
could anyone help?

okay here goes:
For example- C,20,X,E
1, 2, 3, 4

1. Emissions (Z=euro 4 emission regs,
Y=euro 3 emission regs,
X=euro 2 emission regs,
C=euro 1 emission regs)

2. Capacity (10= 1 litre, 14=1.4 etc etc.)

3 Compression ratio (L=8.5 to 9.0:1
N=9.0 to 9.5:1
S=9.5 to 10.0:1
X=10.0 to 11.5:1
Y=11.5+ :1)

4 Fuel sysytem (E=multi point injection
Z=single point injection
V=carburettor
D=diesel)
additions (at the end of the code) B = IBC
C = corporation ignition system
F = vehicle for authorities
H = high output/supercharging
I = Irmscher
J = throttled output
K = Komplex
L = low output/supercharging
P = power adapted
R = increased output
T = turbo
U = Uruguay
V = volume model
W = Venezuela
2 = family II engine
