View Full Version : 1990 Nova SR 5k miles
As some of you may have seen in my other thread, I got myself this Nova just before Christmas.
1990 SR with just over 5 thousand miles from new.
Only plans were a sight drop and Speedlines.

and with the Speedlines, hopefully the springs will bed in a bit yet as I think it's a little high for them at the minute. If it doesn't it will be back onto the 3 spokes as I don't want to have to start rolling/cutting arches on it! It's the same springs I have on my other SR and I was happy enough with the way it sat.

How low are the springs? Looking good BTW.
They are 40mm, same springs on the other one:

So lucky! Lovely car and in one of the best colours
It's like turning the clock back twenty years
She's beautiful
That's a hell of a find, not to keen on the speedlines though, way to common. IMO looked better on the 3 spokes.

I've lost count of the amount I own at this stage, it's over 10 anyway! Don't know what to do with the other one yet, taking no hurt where it is for now.

Looks great - Bit doubtful that the Speedline's make it look any better - Looks absolutely brilliant in standard form.
Amazing find!
Standard wheels look 1000x better
Nice find tho

Is that a black ring on the horn push? And what colour is the gear knob? Both look black to me in the pics...
Regarding the wheels, as much as I like Speedlines I truly think it looks better on the 3 spokes.
The speedlines would have usually been the wheel of choice but personally with such mint looking 3 spokers I'd slam it over them and keep it bog standard :-D just my thought

The horn push was blue at one point, but faded to a grey colour now, gearknob is blue though! Would buy a new hornpush if I could get one!
Thought I had a picture up of the bay, but must have forgot, so here it is:

Great find mate! 2 very nice cars you have there.
Vert nice i would keep it on the 3 spokes
Wife bought me a registration for the wedding, and had no other home for it, so put it onto this Nova. Got it transferred when we were on honeymoon.

Nice car, had a chuckle when I saw Pi springs & quality in the same sentence.

If you are really careful, you can pop the plastic ring out a re paint it, i've done it a few times as i think it always looks better Blue/Red.
I did think they were grey/black to start with tho...

Very nice find :thumb: but why does it not have electric windows? I thought they were standard fitment on the mk2 sr's.

Has no electric windows or central locking, and the dials are all black as well, no white bands on the speedo and rev counter. It's November 90 so I can only assume it's a strange early spec model.
