View Full Version : Pics of fibreglass roof skin fitted?
So I'm planning a track car build with plenty of fibreglass panels involved. I have never seen one fitted and was interested to see how "factory" they look. Pics of any f/g panelled track cars would be good

Not a very popular mod then i take it?
I'm sure I've seen them for sale before but I've never seen one fitted. I do prefer the thought of scraping down the road on a metal roof though

I don't think it is very popular mate, I've got a carbon one to go on not fitted yet though.

Most certainly but I do plan on a full cage and some nice chap decided that my roof looked like a f######g trampoline! I can't see it being much harder than fitting your carbon roof Bazza so I'll keep an eye on your thread, looking good so far mate
i know cutting it off is the easy bit. ;)

Always the way that, can't see it being harder than the carbon roof, at least I'll be able to bond with fibreglass then hide with paint, I'll start a project thread when I get cracking

MMM PU Sealant and done.
IMO very worth it if yours if afflicted with a sunroof.

Not a sun roof but a badly damaged roof, always liked the idea of a f/g roof to match my planned track build

Yeah that's the formula turbojolt; you can get it from ebay a bit cheaper for the exact same stuff, searching PU.

Getting fiberglass panels to look factory will be the hard part. I consider the roof to be a step too far, but if going for it be sure to fit at least one roof diagonal into the cage.
