Was going to reply to text, but easier here.

I would expect an XE / F16 to drop straight in using the front mounts. You might need the rear mount and linkage off a mk2 GTE, but not sure.

Shafts and hubs etc, and might aswell rob the rear beam off the mk2 if it was originally a 16v.

Rad might fit, hoses will if the rad does, and the digi's (if your GTE had them, not all did) would be worth removing anyway.

Ye it's 1.8 the gte so no rear disks
the engine fitted is 1.2 ohv so I'm taking it non of the mounts will fit my main concern is the fuel tank tbh and I would buy new mk1/2 rad regardless so that's not a problem and I have silicone hoses more so the tank and struts comparable I'm hopeing digi dash is broken

If both cars are complete then I'm pretty certain you will have all the mounts and brackets etc required to fit the engine

The Mk1 linkage will work fine with the F16 too

I may be wrong but aren't Mk1 and Mk2 fuel tanks the same? Ie use GTE injection tank if this is the case...

the mk2 is only a mk1 in a sleek new body the floorpan is the same... all the mucky bits & tank fit...

I fitted a mk2 gte tank to an x plate mk1 in about 1992
