what bias pedal boxes is everyone running? i mean a proper pedal box, not the **** awful GM arrangement with all the important bits on the passenger side still. My dilemma being Baulkhead mounted or floor mounted, being 6ft2 with long legs im worried about leg room going floor mounted, but baulkhead mounted might be problematic given my steering column setup. Anyone got any advice/experience to share?

ta jake.

Floor mount and move the seat back

Even that will be a squeeze at over 6ft. Plus moving the seat back isn't as simple as it sounds. The steering column, handbrake and gear shift have to come with it.

I stole a bit of space from the bulkhead, and could get a touch more if I used stubbie MC's, but for a taller driver I would look into a top mounted box which puts the pedals in their original location.

I'm sure you can get floor mounts that run the cylinders towards the driver

to be honest, if you start putting linkages in, its not going to be much of an improvement over the std setup.

Maybe worth a try, they do sit a bit higher up though which can mean pedals foul the column.

im tempted to do the cut out in the baulkhead like yours but with a box with the mc's facing the driver. although i dont want to do it all and still not have enough room... should of left it standard lol

If I was doing a Nova build I'd definitely look into a bulkhead mounted type unless it was for a race car...I suppose trouble is bias boxes can't be picked up for peanuts just for trial and error

tried an escort bias box this morning and it was never gonna fit due to my column. just cut a hole in the floor 8v craig style lol

Remember though that cutting the bulkhead breeches rules for certain motor sports disciplines. It doesn't bother me as it's a track car, which if ever raced will be a sports libre hillclimber, but cutting could essentially de-value a well prepared shell.

im aware of that, id only ever want to compete in time attack but the car would never be competitive.
pictures do the talking... how tall are your pedals craig? i was going to go for around 280mm similar to the OBP ones.

Just to chuck it in there, i run a pedalbox in the standard placement (non servo, twin cylinder) and i've had no problems, aslong as its setup properly. Pedal is rock hard as you'd expect, but nothing too serious, legs hurt a bit after doing a 140 mile road rally!
