my wee mk1 sr

Hi guys / girls after 10 years and 4 kids later I've eventually got myself another wee nova :-D It's a mk1 sr which had been fitted with a 1.6 16v it's going to be used
Over the summer months then taken off over the winter months and stripped down and rebuilt so I thought I'd share it with yous :-D

My mates using the 5 spokes for his corsa in the background but I can run them till I get a set but he had these on at one point which I think look the mutts danglies

Yes loveing the Astra gte rims looks tidy

Yeah the gte rims actually suit it no to bad wasn't sure to start with but they look the dabs

Yeah its tidy with the gte rims :-) its got the 5 spokes on it at the moment which are pictured at the top, I wouldn't mind sourcing a set of gte wheels for it

Looks nice but I prefer either stock sr sides or side trims and vinyl removed and just the side skirts

My mate I've bought it from put the gte kit on it but has the standard front and rear bumpers still in his garage, its only going to be used for about 6 month then put off the road to get a strip and rebuild and see where I wanna go styling wise as in keep the gte look or go back to SR

Just a couple o wee quick pics whilst I was passing my mates garage, wee update the knackered 1.6 16v has been removed in preparation for a 1.4 16v motor which ive bought to be put in place it's a sweet running wee engine for little money so I couldn't walk past it, whilst the engine is out I checked for welding in the engine bay and it has only has a small plate either side of the radiator mounts and apart from that the bay is immaculate, I'll get some more pics of the bay before during and after fitting the new engine :thumb:

Cheers shamish82 its no a bad wee motor needs a wee bit o tlc to sort it oot but its fine the noo, thats the new engine dropped off with my mechanic to get all the power steering and aircon and various other bits stripped down and changed over for to fit the nova :)

Nah yellowsrnova I've bought a sweet running 1.4 16v which I got for very little money ready to drop straight in apart from taking the power steering and aircon pumps off, n yea I'm going to run it with the gte kit at the moment but my mates got the standard bumpers aswell so may just put the standard bumpers back on and remove the gte kit or leave it on and get it resprayed at some point and get the bottom half body coloured :)

Yeah the wheels certainly suit it gives it a kind of motorsport/ touring car touch , she's in need of major tlc but she'll get there eventually :-)
