Yeah but your still knowingly driving to club events illegally, if something did happen an accident etc your insurance company can invalidate your insurance as the car isn't taxed it's not going for mot and therefore shouldn't be on the road, I hate road tax too but not worth the risk of an in10 on my licence and at least 6 points and a whacking great fine.

i used to work in insurance and have seen policies invalidated for this!

I got pulled last night and my tax disk is in my glove box lol. They simply asked to see it and said no more. I was more surprised that the only thing he asked about my highly illegal headlight protectors was what the little sticker was (euro deflector bits) once I explained they were a part of the protectors and couldnt be removed he said no more about that either. And the reason for pulling the was I apparently went the wrong way down a one way bit ( no signs to say so). Guess we have nice coppers here
