moving head unit

has anyone considered either moving or installing a seconded head unit intead of the ash tray on a mk1 nova. i wana do this so i can mount a screen where the HU was coz it will look much better there and will be easier to see than if it was low down.

Fairly easy to do, I hate the std position of the mk2 stereo

my uncle has got a convertable cavalier so to deter ppl he kept the standard shitty thing and put a better one in his glovebox out of every1's view

the second unit 9in the std position) is a graphic eq, boosts the signal and splits its to the amps.

ideal for hi-output head units 35x4 upwards....

IM CURRENTLY PUTTIN MY HEADUNIT IN A NEW HOME.
ITS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY STEERING WHEEL. WHERE AN AIR VENT AND LIGHT SWITCHES USED 2 BE. NOW THERE HOUSED IN MDF AND FIBERGLASS ABOVE THE HU.
ITS GR8 CUZ THIS WAY IM IN CONTROL OF MY TUNES AND NO1 CAN CHANGE THEM BUT MY. ITS NOT A HARD JOB REALLY, ABIT OF DASH CHOPPING WAS NEEDED BUT ITS WEL WORTH IT! ILL TRY 2 SHOW SUM PICS WHEN I FINISH. (I AINT GOOD WITH COMPUTERS).[/b]

will a hu mind if it is tilted back at quite a large angle? this will need 2 be the case if i move it inplace of the ash tray.
