As in title, im Struggling with insurance with my latest 2nd car, its a Left hand drive import 1991 OPEL Corsa A 1.2 Swing imported in 1999, obviously just a 1.2i Vaux Nova

Quoted online under PD at £485 as import Nova, called Sky insurance as highly recomended on here and he couldnt quote me, saying it needs to go to underwriters and he could get nowhere near

Called PD and had start quote again as being an opel makes such a difference  and its instantly had to go to underwriters and still waiting on a call back some 2 hours later, trickiest part being 1st insured left hand drive car, despite having had 60 odd cars and two trade policies in past..

Ive never struggled with insurance before, i had a 2 year old grp 18 car at 20 without much trouble, 7 years on struggling to insure a 50bhp 1.2 nova is somehat annoying lol

How many have nova as main car ? Making this change has just taken from £209 upto £703

After reading posts by Novasport (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/member.php?7597-Novasport) , ive just been on the phone to RH insurance services for 35 minutes, to quite an amazing outcome of £209.78 all in :O wouldnt be so amazing as my dailly only costs around £800 but after quotes from 'competitors' today of trippple that its quite something

Not trying flux after seeing such bad reviews on here and after googling it some shocking results on there, the most common of all being extortionate charges when changine stuff mid term

trying HIC in morning as just held for 10 mins but think ive found my insurance :)

RH are excellent. Very easy company to deal with. I have been with them since 2010 and never even wanted to look elsewhere. The annual premium has never gone up in that time either. Highly recommended by me.

My Nova is my only car.

I've been with HIC for maybe 10 years. Not many other places will cover my needs. So i stay.

I use the Nova more than the Celica at the moment. I'm with Graham Sykes and they didn't care if it was my main car or not, just how many miles I would do and whether or not I use the car during peak hours (8-10am and 4-6pm. My working day is normally 7-3 so no lol)

HIC was good for me, 170, copied my ncb, limited miles, but can extend :thumb:

Keith Michaels insured mine as a low mileage car and have been with them for two years now. No problems at all.
