I'd say retarded kids, it's harder to steal sweets from a toddler than it is to steal a Nova.

I think it's time to upgrade the security

Bicester, says it all really!

First off get rid of the door locks, weld up the holes. Then a decent alarm and immobiliser and rig up some solenoids to work the door locks. This will put most people off, including the little scrotes who did this.

yehh it does, i go to motorsport college there, and surely if i smoothed out the locks people would just bend the doors over? :/

Bad way to start a day but at least it survives, even a chain and padlock will do something until you sort out the damage

I have had several Novas saved by steering locks, inexpensive but the 60 seconds or so it would take a thief to break them is a long time.

Steering wheel lock
Alarm
immobilser
kill switch (not to kill thieves....but if it existed I'd fit it)
Choke cars are good too as they can't drive cars with choke, they don't know what it is

that's sh!t, unlucky mate.

atleast its still where you left it. you'd be triple fcuked off if it was gone, and appeared on the 6 o clock news doing a bank job lol

might as well weld that hole up in the passenger door, and paint over. looks too far gone to get another lock in the hole.

a new steering column and plastic surround shouldn't set you back too much. £30 for both ?

Someone's lending me a tool to straighten and re shape the hole, so I'll give that a go, passanger door lock is destroyed too so ideally I'm after a full early matching lockset?? And it would be pretty cool if it got on TV tho!

I currently looking at beefing up my none existent security think the main thing I'm going to fit other then a delock and alarm is a snap off steering wheel boss, just means using a none standard wheel though which isn't to everyone's taste. Can't drive away without a steering wheel though and can't snap the lock without one either.

I always use a Stop Lock Pro - insurance recognised and pretty cheap; always done the job.

They must have been real amateurs to have failed on a Nova!!

Thankfully all repairable and they haven't bent out the door by the looks of it; nevertheless they should have their hands chopped off once caught. Scum of the earth.

Bass-tards, glad they failed though! did you have a steering lock or anything on it? hope you get it sorted asap and with extra security!

Why on earth are you gutted, your car was still there and is repairable, its quite laughable that they have failed so much in life, not only are they poor car theives, they have failed to steal, the easiest car on the planet, to steal, theres something to take humour from lol
