Gonna give the engine bay a damn good clean whilst im there and make sure everything is tidy ready for the engine to go back in.

what happened to it mate?
what you having done to the bottom end? as wanna do mine before i put my head and cam on as has 160k on it
it looks like a pretty clean bay anyway mate
Big end went mate and started knocking rather badly. first thought was the water pump but alas not that simple.
Looked like it had been going on for sometime and maybe the slightly higher compression with the new head just finished it off. :(
The new bottom end is fully lightened and balanced inc flywheel, new Hepolite pistons, reground crank, new bearings through out, new HP oil pump, baffled sump (stop oil surge) and a few other bits and pieces.
Couple that up with the head i'd done, Piper 285 cam and vernier pulley, the FSE valve, XE injectors (not sure if I need em tbh but got given a set), Magnex and K+N, should be a little snorter. :)

that thing is gonna fly once it is finished! just a pity you had to splash out in those circumstances.
I attacked them with a wire brush, treated a few rust spots (only surface) and the painted it in hammerite.
Ross that arch looks amazing
Really good to see you on sunday again. Shame the nova wasn't there, but looks like a blessing in disguise. Looks lovely mate, gives me some ideas.
BTW-engine bay-cif mouse
