can someone tell me which terminals are which on the old type round dizzy cap? starting from middle top?!

From the top then ani clock wise 1 3 4 2

The Haynes should tell you but if in doubt..Rotate the engine clockwise (looking at the pulley) until no.1 is at the top of its compression stroke. What ever pin the rotor arm is pointing to is no.1 . The rest are 3,4,2 in an anti clockwise direction (looking at the cap)
