View Full Version : f20 gear box chasing touching chassis mount issue

hello i have just put a let into my 1.0 base shell, i have noticed the gearbox chasing is just bearly touching my gear box chassis mount, i have used the 1litre gearbox mount im starting to think the mount is differnt engine sits nice and straight, anyone came across this need to sort it as it will rattle driven

Have you used the spacer kit for the rear mount?

yes i have torquey, i cut the gearbox mount bolt down so that i just goes through the mount but the box is tight to the bolt if you get me

Right maybe its the mount cos its off a 4 speed box.

I don't get that ?
Get a photo of it touching !
it should be gear box 10mm spacer engine mount

Ok to clarify it's ure front gearbox mount catching
could be ether the rubber mount is ballsed
or the 1L mount you used you may need a 1.2 upwards

will change the mount and rubber to a gte one i have,,any pics of the normal spacing thats ment to be there ?

Think when you take of the mount you can compare the 2
Of them
have you got a gte rear one incase the 1L one pushed the engine forward there not an engine I ever removed tbh so never looked at it

will check both mounts but everything bolted in very easy
