Has anyone ever had any trouble with braided hoses rubbing on the wheels? was replacing the wing on my car today and noticed that they've worn through the plastic membrane and down to the braided metal. anyone know if they're is supposed to be a special route these are supposed to use or whether they're just too long

They fit in the same way as the standard ones, did you get corsa ones? iirc they're slightly longer than nova ones.

These were defo listed as nova ones, even bought them direct from hel. however they do seem pretty long but couldn't be for a corsa as i have corsa brakes and the banjo bolt provided didn't fit the caliper

we have similar trouble with hoses on diggers.. you need to turn the braided hose to engineer a twist that keeps it out of the way of the wheel/tyre at all times.. it only takes a few minutes to sort out

Where I've seen people go wrong fitting them, they bolt up the end that joins the solid brake pipe which fixes the hose rigidly, then you have to twist the hose to get the banjo to mate up flat against the caliper. This causes a kink in the hose & usually an un-natural bend in a direction you don't want it.

Attach the banjo end to the caliper first & work back to the pipe join, at which point you can use a large spanner on the flexi hose to hold it in its favourable position which offers the best curve away from moving parts etc & tighten the fitting on the pipe.

If you can't force it to twist/sit away from the moving bits, then you can always p-clip/attach the brake hose to the strut so that it doesn't rub.

Had same problem on my corsa b,was worried fixing it solid it would rip out under full lock, some mega elastic bands to strut sorted it can still flex under full lock

In the end it just refitted it with a bend the opposite way and has been fine
