Sierra pierburg to 1.3sr

Has anyone fitted the 1.8 Pierburg off a sierra?
Ive heard a bit from friends about this being an old mod and have just picked one up.
Is it just a straight swap?

I tried one but couldn't get it to work right. It needs the jets adjusting on a rolling road really, I couldn't get the idle right at all and got big flat spot when the second choke opened. Good luck with it.

Was yours off a running car? This one was so at least i know im starting with a working carb

It was brand new.

Fitted it and no problems. Even idles at the right speed. Drives fine as well. Slight improvement in performance but not much.

Hmm interesting, what idle and main jets have you got in it?

I dont actually know. I literally put it straight on. I had to tap a few threads into it where they were missing but that was it. If i have to take it apart, ill let you know!
