Basically had a digi dash delivered today and someone has tried to solder a pickup/earth for the indicators into the pcb. See pic below:

is there any way to repair this? Maybe some bared wire tucked under the good track on either side and maybe glue the plastic back down over it?

Any help appreciated as I'm guessing the pcb are like the rocking horses proverbial to find new or second hand.

Did see on recent thread info about a pen that layed down the track as it was drawn I do not know much more than that

should be able to just bridge the gap, by soldering a thin piece of wire. make sure you insulate it front and back once done, so it doesn't short on anything that it might touch

Cheers guys, got it now, as said bridged with the wire, leccy tape front and rear, insulated and holding wire in place. May look into having a new one made up in the future.

Seen it before, never the nicest way to do it. That looks rather sh*te too. CAn be easy to fit them too. Just take your time to not melt anymore.

Not entirely happy with my fix so taking it to my leccy mate who's gonna solder in a new piece all nice and neat and fully insulated.

Don't get your hopes up but I think I've an old set of digi dash clocks that were broken, I'll have to look tomorrow but if I can find them I'll send you the circuit backing.

Cant remember if I chucked them out though, I'll send for free if I find them ;)

anyone know if the digi dashes can be repaired? speedo digits on mine have gone a tad dodgy, like the lcd is breaking down :(

Strip it down carefully and clean the contacts. My rev counter didn't work upto 2000 revs but after stripping and cleaning works a treat now.

I bought a new circuit from vaux when rebuilding my old estoril blue SR. Was about £15 iirc.
