No, not which one is better lol
Basically, have got my F13CR fitted. Trying to srt out the linkage for it, and it is being a right pain in the bum.
Now I remember reading somewhere about cutting a lug off so you can get fifth...
Would it be this one on the right hand side...?

So basically cut it off and setting up the gear linkage will be a heck of a lot easier? The nova did used to have a 5 speed box but it had no problems when I fitted that... Is the F13CR a wider box? I think the original 5 speed was a F10...

I've never cut the lug off an mine was a 4spd before. id try use the drill bit method thru the plunger in the selector housing and make the stick centre should be right then if not linkage must be worn.

looks like it might be 5 speed ready.

had to cut one myself before, I remember it looking bigger than that, and was possibly right up against the wall, stopping the stick from moving to the right

it was a bugger too, H-shaped metal surrounded with plastic, and you don't have space to get a saw down in there. you have to hold a blade wrapped in rag, and saw for 5 mins straight

or you can unscrew the two 10mm nuts and push the gear stick down and turn it through 90 deg and it pops off.
there might be somthing else you need to do but it takes seconds. I cant remember off hand.

The plastic bit will come off by prising it off with a screw driver. Did it when converting my mk2 1.2 4 speed to 14se/F15cr.
