What will I need and what can I reuse off the 1.0. I will be getting the engine as a block, head ect with box and 40 carbs. Also what ignition set-up will i need to use? cheers charlie

Nothing is of use not sure even the shafts are comparably but may be wrong and you need only dizzy and coil for the engine and if it was is e16 you will need a fuel pump facet type also engine mounts possibly all 3

the shafts should be ok as the 1.0 uses an f10 box, same as the 1.2 and 1.3.
the 2 gearbox mounts might be useable too, if the f10 shares the same layout as the f13 ?

got a feeling the front engine mount is different.
the front half of the exhaust system is different.
the radiator I think is a different design, and its hoses are different.

if the cam has a slot drive, you could use a 1.2 / 1.3 ignition system... pin drive a 1.4 system.
the switched live, coil wire needs replacing too, cant remember why, but it has some sort of electrical gremlin.

theres fair amount to change all in

Think the ignition live to coil is to thin iirc so will need replacing as said above just something I spotted here
there is an article on this or 1L to xe but it's similar

wont the starter be too far out for an f10 on an e16?

If u look it does say engine and box being fitted and shafts are all the same

Nice one, looks easier than i thought, anyone know how much hp you can run before you have to look at welding the bay?

Heres an idea to compare......
Were gte/gsi stitch welded as standard?..........

And its torque that would make the need for stitch welding, not bhp.

No but they did have a strengthened drivers chassis arm I've been told, and thanks just wanted to check as it's not the mintiest bay
