I have a 92 1.4 nova sri with a C14SE engine. would it pass an MOT on emmisions if i took off the cat. And how much BHP would this add if i took it off and fitted a streight thru pipe

Just had a straight through put on mine.. 92 sri deffo increase in power and i got told the cats are only needed late 92 so was yours early or late?

you dont need it

either get a gte system+box or get a decat pipe!!!

car feels much faster withou the cat ;)

C= cat so when they test it will be under cat conditions i believe........

why not just kep the cat and put it back on for mot if they are gona be fussy cnuts at the garage u take it to, lol....

The catalyst test is part of the MOT test for most class IV spark ignition petrol engined passenger cars with four or more wheels first used on and after 1 August 1992.

Looks like yours will fit into this category as iirc 1 August 1992 was when K prefix was used.
