Just bought a c16 engine but didnt come with a loom or ecu. I used to have years ago and I've just found an ecu.

The part no. is 16172799, can someone confirm this is a gsi ecu?

I have also found half a loom, I'm guessing I chopped it where it goes through the bulk head so is just the engine bay part of it. My car still has a c14se loom in, is it possible to connect these up? Am I right in saying the ecu plugs will be different?

Hi Lee,

I think this is the right ECU for a C16SE: http://www.opel-classicparts.de/steuergeraet-32839.html

That there says it'll fit c14se and c16se.
Ive always thought the c14/16 engines look much neater due to no dizzy or airflow meter.

Am I right in thinking your nova currently has a c14se engine in?

Id put the engine in on your standard c14se wiring loom and ecu n give it a whirl.

His Nova iirc has an X16xe in so that's why he's needing the wiring.

My nova has a c14se loom in, I never wired the xe up. Read online that they are identical looms and my gsi ecu will plug in. That part number is also the right one.

Should be a very simple conversion then, hopefully nothing will go wrong lol
