Hi,
Took out my suspension strut to change the shocks - i am having difficulty getting the nut undone on the top - you need to hold the 19mm nut with a spanner while turning the shaft thing with a socket - I can't find a spanner with a bent enough neck to hold the nut tight enough to get it undone.
What do people here use? Anyone got any hints?
Thanks,
John.

swan neck will cost you a fiver at your local toy suplpier, thats you easiest bet
yup i agree. best getting it off whilst still on the car (not jacked up) then jack the car up. if its already off u will need spring compressors to hold the spring down (or u will kill yourself when if fires off)

That's just bloody silly Ste, and I don't think you should be giving out that sort of advice on the site...........
Your obviously supposed to get someone else to airgun it off and watch 'them' jump..

Thanks for the help, got it sorted in the end.... despite halfords attempts to get me to fit the wrong springs. Gave me two different ones, looking identical but one incredibly stiff.
Cheers,
John.
hmm HSE would have a field day with this lol
but it does sound fun :D
