Anyone had any experiance of re shaping some foam/rubber on a fuel tank and straps before re-fitting?? Wouldn't mind some pics of where to put it as my tank had it removed before I got it.
Any suggestions on whats good to use will also be appreciated.

Cheers
Ian

I cut up a bike inner tube and put it along the straps, what I had left I also used on other bits and bobs like the base of the coil and strut brace

I used 50 mm strips (original width of hard padding cr/p ) of self adhesive foam for caravan doors and windows worked a treat

Thanks for all the replies guys, lots to choose from now :)
Does anyone know where abouts on the tank it goes or have you just placed it down and seen where the metal to metal is??

It usually sits in two strips front to back, on top of the tank. It insulates the tank from the body.

It is a 5 door tank but you can see the strips...

You can see were it sits there are 2 raised parts of the tank around 50 mm wide front to back on the top of the tank it goes ontop of them
if you get enough and it's not to thick put it on the straps also as they rot under there
