Project starter model

Hi Guys

I'm after a bit of advice, I've been bitten by the vauxhall bug and I am planning to do a Nova as my next project once I finish my corsa, was just wondering if there was a particular base model I should be keeping an eye out for (only stipulation I have currently is its a 3 door) or is it a case of get the best looking one I can find and start upgrading, bodykit etc?

Buy the best bodyshell you can find, saves time and money.

The rest is pretty easy to find and add on.

The model of shell is only important if you plan to keep the car authentic like a SR or GSI, otherwise bide your time till a good solid shell turns up

The only difference in 3 door shells is some have a sunroof and gte/gsi models have a strengthened front chassis leg on the drivers side.

Base model's had a full width rear seat and sporty models had 60/40 split seats so have extra brackets for that but no real shell difference.
