is there any way I can tell which vss sensor I need, in order for it to link at the right speed with the ecu / transponder ?

cheers :thumb:

Think mine is AA on my x16xe and its fine. I got mine off a nova so I could fit the speedo cable in the top of it aswell

I guess that was off an spi model chris ?

Ive seen different 2 digit numbers on different ecu's... wondering if they have anything to do with the different 2 digit numbers on the vss

I understand the car will start and idle without one right ? .. but then when you drive it, it cuts out when you come to a stop. is that right ?

Thats all correct matey, I never researched the correct amount of pulses it kicked out so I got the correct vss I just spoke to somone who had used it on his 16xe and it was going spare

found these figures on migweb
-----------------------------------
AA - 6 PULSES - 90148828
AF - 15 PULSES - 90009089
AY - 2 PULSES - 90320053

AA/6 pulse is cool.
AF/15 pulse is apparently needed if your running electronic power steering.

cheers chris.
+chav points for you lol

the guy that said it seemed to know what he was on about.

if you put the epas in and get stalling issues, you know what the problem is :thumb:
