No. Late 1.4's and the 1.6 are larger than the 12ST, 13SB & 14NV engines.

can I use a 1.3 flywheel and starter motor on a 1.6 ? or will I need to source a bigger flywheel ?

not to worry, cheers mate. I did a bit more research and it looks like you cant.
the smaller 1200/1300 flywheel doesn't meet the teeth on the startermotor, so I will need a larger 1400 or 1600 flywheel, and more than likely a starter to go with it.
knowledge !!! (my crappy brains getting there lol)

In theory you could, if you used a 1.2,1.3 5spd or 4 spd gearbox and a small starter and flywheel

its do-able.

The starter motors are all the same though just to add, the differences are only in the flywheel and block :)

i did a swap a couple years ago between the 2.
that was 1.2 (small fly with f10) to a 1.6 (large fly with f13). the 1.2 starter wouldn't fit and I had to use the 1.6.
altho saying that, it was a 16SV, which is a bit of a confusion engine, it may or may not have been a big block. it went in fine on smallblock mounts tho
