Rear Disc conversion..

Hi all,
Probably been covered before but, i want to do a rear disc conversion on my XE 2.0.. I have a Mk3 Golf Gti im breaking, am i right in saying its the donar for the job?... and how do i change handbrake cables?.. please excuse my ignorance, heard it 3rd hand that the Golfs the one...

If I remember rightly mk3 golf gti is a five stud set up. Mk2 gti is four stud, 4x100
