anyone have any experience with the opel mokka jeep? the parents are looking to buy a new jeep 2013 or 2014 model with a budget of around 20k. any problems with them? they will be looking for the 4x4 one. do they use an opel engine or one fitted from a different manufacture?

They use the same engines as the astra j all vauxhall, we have had a few gearbox faults and software issues, but nothing that really stands out, and most should have lifetime warranty if they offer that over in Ireland, my wife wants the 1.7 cdti 4x4

Personally if it was that type of car I was after I'd be looking at second hand audi q5s hold there money better in the long run better build quality and generally a nicer car, but I hate 4x4s think only farmers and thoughs living in remote places should be allowed them

Toyota Rav4 or Honda CRV. Not the most exciting but will not let you down. Avoid the Nissan thing, just a renault :s.
The Peugeot 3008 is a great car actually, but not 4x4. We dont have any issues wth them. They are extremely practical and cheap to run.
Just avoid petrol and the semi auto.
Not a fan myself but what about a VW Tiguan?
My choice would be a current model BMW X3.
