Been offered it cheap but not sure if it will just tell the ecu things... I know its not going to make much difference to power because it is a 1.2 after all?

Cheers

It's a higher lift cam so yes but you might need the followers and everything else to suit

the main problem is that the dizzy on a 1.2spi is peg drive, whereas an sr one is slot drive.

I'm sure you have heard this loads before but changin to the 1.2 carb will instantly give more than 20% increase before you even start on cams etc

To be honest David id just leave it standard and make it reliable,

Once you can afford the insurance bump in a 1600,

Or as marc says change the 1.2 spi to a 1.2 carb engine, its actually more powerful ( not by much but it is still better )

I can assure you's guys that it does work, it's a 1.4 sr cam and I fitted it to my c12nz when I replaced a valve as I had a 1.4 sr head and cam box sitting in my garage. It made a noticeable difference and the engine pulls well all the way from 3500 rpm to the red line just after 6k instead of from about 4000 to just over 5k like it did with the standard cam.

a 1.4 will
but a 1.3sr definitely won't
