thing is where am i gona get one, i thought gsi's had rear disc conversions and therefore it would be easy to take off and bold on, but i've heard they aint! so where could i get a rear beam with discs? an astra?

you have to make one.... they were never fitted to any cars...
u need an astra gte 16v doner axle and a nova axle
If your flush, there are company's out there that sell kits.
I am pretty sure Demon-Tweeks sell one and PVD.

you still need the doner parts with the kits... they just save working out where to cut.. and what hb cable to use

You need a complete set of disc brakes from any FWD Vauxhall except Nova. All you need is to drill new holes... Of course the hb cable needs a little extra care to make fit.
vicious rumour has it that the golf rear discs are the ones to ahve as the hand brake is done properly etc

PVD do a kit for ?99 but "some welding is requiered". :lol:
My mate did his rear disc on his nova by machining up cav GSI hubs and making them fit, looks bloody good!
it's well worth it aswell!

I thought the cav GSI were all the independant trailing arm setup so im amazed that it was possible to use them at all.

it was just the rear hubs he used not the hole rear end and he's cut up loads of bits to make it fit
