Converting a 1.2 nova merit into a 1.6 gsi.
I get the basics of the wiring, but the part im stuck on is how do I get the multiplug for the new gsi engine loom, to connect up to the old 1.2 interior loom.
I will be running a separate live and switch for the fuel pump so I'm not worried about that, its just whar wire needs soldering to what wire?
and how is the coil getting live etc?
I can get photos of what I need if it helps?
cheers Rhys :)

on the 1.2 carb, the coil gets a (switched live) +12 volt feed from the ignition switch into the engine bay. I think its a black wire if I remember.

Blue wire on os front is for temp needs conecting under inlet now or to blue on multi plug
ign live is black wire at coil but you need one to multi plug also
green wire is rev counter
blue/white you have in your 1.2 loom for ault feed
black red is starter Also in 1.2 loom
brown yellow I think it is will be for oil gauge what you do over connection is up to you you can chop your 1.2 loom and add this in or only add the bits you need
the thick blue red wire is to the fuel pump should be after the relay on os bulkhead area this needs fusing inside the car not sure of amps prob 20
and add an earth from the battery to the top bolt on the starter as there we'll known for crap earths

im doing this conversion myself - is a vss needed ?
.. or is it just required for the 16v's ?
and could you explain a bit further about the fuel pump, I don't understand. do I need to wire in a relay on that circuit ? or is it just simply the 1 wire with an in-line fuse ?
thanks

No vss needed only if ure running digi dash
the relay is part of the loom and 1red/blue wire comes off it to the pump you put a fuse in this wire before it gets to the pump even better if you get it the fuse box so it's factory looking
