X14xe or x16xe loom???

Hi I've just bought my old nova back. Around 2 years ago I put a x14xe in it and the lad who I sold it to rang me up and said it had seized up. So I've towed it back to my garage and pulled the 14xe out! Just wondering if I can put a x16xe in without changing the ecu, key,transponder etc..... I've been told you can and you can't! Some more information would be of great help! Cheers josh

It will run on the X14XE ecu but weather it'll perform like a X16XE or not is something I don't know

I've heard of people putting x16 ecu on a x14 as an upgrade though

I did this with my old cora sport built a x16xe up and used the x14xe loom ecu chip etc as the belt snapped before i baught it and all was ok. I have a couple of mates with 1.6sport and was just the same if not slighty quicker.

Yes it will run it i know a few people who have run it for a while
