Black headlining

Has anybody tried replacing their headlining with black material to match the Gsi interior?

similar idea to what's in the m sport bmw

I would assume the easiest option is to sew onto your existing headlining for best results in terms of fit etc.

Take old one out and get a trimmer to do it for you

You can buy black mk1 and mk2 style headlining material from a company called As trim, and then get any good upholsterer to use the original as the template
