Well, i'm nearly 30 so probably older than most on here lol. Just about to finish restoring my Fiesta RS Turbo and saw this on gumtree. Paid less than scrap value as it needs new sills and ideally a new ns door and rear quarter due to damage but engine is lovely and also had a bootfull of new spares like timing belt, water pump, leads etc so you could say the car was free.
Not looking to do much other than drop it on some cool wheels and tidy it up.
Only pic I have right now until tomorrow.

Should be good, what kind of look you going for with the wheels/lowering? 1200 carb?
Good evening, any pics of the FRST?
I think youre not quite the oldest on here, nor in the immediate running for said title either, hope that makes you feel a little better lol
you are just out of nappies compared to some of us....
seriously, do nothing more than stuck some 165/70 r13 tyres on the std rims.. and then get out on the lanes...
i lived in oakley for a while & i recommend the lane from there to wheatley, oh, and the main rd to bicester obviously....

That makes me feel much better haha. I should have probably used a word other than restoring for the fiesta. It's more returning to standard. Just need to fit the green stripes on it and new turbo and its done.
How it came, basically dropped on its sump too.

To this although it is now higher at the rearhttp://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/turboterror1/Mobile%20Uploads/20131218_141403_zps5uh5we6x.jpg (http://s38.photobucket.com/user/turboterror1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20131218_141403_zps5uh5we6x.jpg.html)
Anywho, spent a bit of time with the nova today. Too out the mats and ripped off the seat covers to reveal an almost lovely interior, just need to swap the drivers seat if I can find another.
Considering what I paid for it, it is remarkably original even down to the dealer plates and windscreen sticker. Even the paint is lovely barring the massive dents on the ns.
The engine has been replaced and apart from an ever so slightly noisy alternator, it is bloody quiet. Luckily there is also a replacement alternator in the boot so that will be going on sharpish. Engine plans are limited to making it less painted lol and just making it look more original. I will also most likely fit a set of bike carbs to this engine as although it won't give much more power, it will sound pretty sweet along with a decent exhaust.
Bodywise I think I may paint it beige although that might be too much with the interior so perhaps a light brown colour. Still undecided on this front, will wait and see what it looks like lowered on the wheels I have bought.
Few pics...

Still has some lustre to the paint with just a wipe over with some poorboys

Lol your having a laugh, I am in my early thirties and still messing with Novas!
That steering wheel looks interseting - its an 80s jobbie, thats for sure! Its similar to the early Astra GTE wheel, but no idea what its off!

You can't repaint that! Mexico red is an awesome colour, not that I'm bias or anything :) also you'll have a hard time finding an ashtray to match as Mexico red Nova's have a really strange brown dash that's very uncommon

I would keep it the same unless you do it properly and strip the interior and engine out so it's the full colour throughout
