I agree with Fester, just read the whole lot and you seem to have the standard blokes who hate us, (it is a PUG site!) a few who don't care, and most suprisingly a fair few willing to point out that any car from any manufacturer has the same problem, some like 'em, some don't!!
Personaly I reakon you drive what you want to, couldn't give a monkeys what anyone else drives and I'll race anything, Nova included!!
Also on a quick personal point notice one quick post about the CORSA being a girl hairdressers car.... :lol:

like its been pointed out they are not really that different from us we all have our minority of tossers! (who usually wear burberry caps) who spoil it for the proper enthusiasts.

Not sure id agree with that, the mi16 is 10bhp more and the 205 isnt much heavier, and a 205 with an mi16 in otherwise standard trim handles MUCH better than a standard nova gte with a valver lump in it.
Ive got an mi16-205, but my personal preference at the moment is to the nova just cause its easier to tune and less of a pain to work on, but the 205mi16 would be a better choice for a track car than a valver nova i reckon, cause the weight distribution is MILES better.

LOL, ive read some $h!te on here before, but that pug site takes the p!$$, they are so far up their asses, they will just have to accept that there are people that actually genuinly like the baby vauxhall!
it may not be modern, it may not be highly powered from standard, but it does have reliability, its the same as any other car on the road, all cars break down!
one nove joke i like in particuler, is they all claim that us nova drivers always have 'motorsport' on the windscreen, most of them dont know, but thats come form the f*rd drivers, in particuler, escort and fiesta owners!

doubt that would do the trick, cant remember who it was, but i remember a guy on the 205gti forum reckoned he was at a trackday with CP and kept getting stuck behind CP and getting slowed down.

Its the same on all the forums i'm afraid.
Some of them seem to accept there is a decent following like us and others are just like the tosser who to the lad to fcuk off who only paid him a compliment about his car, simply because he got out of a Nova.
I have a 106 quicksilver and a 1.4 SR and love them both equally!
If you think we're taking a kicking, you should see the M3 vs Impreza STi threads on sccobynet or the MLR, everone turns into a slanging match!

were unfortunate enough yesterday to get stuck behind and in front of a Nova that sums up all there comments perfectly, the guy was a knob, overtaking round roundabouts at about 100mph with his wife and kids in the car.
Showed him what a knob he was on the straight as well.
theres always 1 we had a 2.0l cav TRY race me mates 2.5 vectra (lets just say he lost :lol: )
after that we were reduced 2 a crawl of 20 mile an hour if we were lucky still gave us plenty of time 2 view the nice women in cars (and sum of the muppets :lol: )

look we slag other car off on here as well its there site to talk about there cars just leave it. I love novas but i also like other cars too including the 306 so what i admit it just some people are imature and think there car is the best and there is no other :lol:

lol My mates got a GTI-6 and loves to point out every time novas get slagged.
Funny thing is they get to read the sign onthe back of the nova so their cars must be slow lmao lmao.
Another funny one was about nova owners always having their fogs on. Rather funny as novas don't come with foglights and yet everytime i see a 106 quicksilver i'm reminded 106's do and they work in all weathers lmao lmao
