Xe clutch options

So I'm looking to get a new clutch as I am going to be fitting a new gearbox and diff, The car will be used on the the road but also on track came across this company

Has anyone used any of there products before? Helix is the obvious choice but what are other people using in track/road cars

Will be running bike bodies with fast road cams hopefully 180-190 bhp with 170-180 lb/ft. Just want something that will hold out to the abuse what do you think?

Standard cover and helix friction plate...not a paddle though as abit overkill on your spec

I've seen the normal style helix friction plate, I assume would be buying a new pressure plate and not using my old one?

ive used normal clutches in my track car i.e sach, valeo etc, and im using a LUK clutch in my let (257bhp) never slips and gets abused , paddle clutches are horrible for road driving, and not worth it unless your running mega bhp

I agree^ I used a £35 remanufactured clutch on my let for about 2 years. That was ok, i only removed it due to fitting a F28.

I just get a normal xe clutch.

OEM stuff is fine. GM over engineer the transmissions quite nicely.

Don't get a valeo, the rivets in the pressure plate came flying out after some hard use on my car, get a LUK

Surely that would be overkill?

No; think about it and look how they are sprung.

The less paddles there are the more on / off they will be.

Ahh I see what your saying, an 8 paddle will be more drive-able on the road but with superior performance over a standard clutch on track. Very good call thanks for you input :)

Besides a massive amount of sudden torque, the only thing that kills a clutch is heat & those 8 paddles once bedded in will outlast even the flywheel I'd imagine.
