X25XE Fault Code 55.???

Hi all, since having my Nova on the road I have had the EML on, I checked the fault code and number 55 came back. Later found out this means Replace ECU. Now the car runs and drives fine. I cant fault anything.
When I wired up the car I did remove the secondary air injection, and I only wired in the basics as most of the wires are for things Novas can only dream of but they are only things like Auto transmission feeds, cruise control, AC, Traction control, electric water pump etc and I can't see these doing anything.

Has any one got any ideas or had similar problems with wiring up a X25XE?

How are you rsading the fault codes mate?

Fault codes are usually 4 digits.

1600 is failed ecu

0550 is high or low voltage at power steering

Or p0505 is idle air v/v

Thats what I remember from my vectra days anyway

I love the way a "failed ecu" can tell you its failed??!!!
Generally theres just no communication lol
