I've decided to play with a 1.2 engine I wanna get the BHP up (alot!!!)

what do you guys think I'll be able to get it up to???

I wanna do cam, carb, lighten the flywheel, skim the head, etc......

Cheers

a decent bit of head work + bigger valves. AST2 cam T40's and a good bottom end rebuild i recon 100bhp @ the fly is realisticly achieveable, but it will occur at about 7500rpm or more lol

it wont be fantasticly driveable, but hey.

One of the Total Vaux mags last year had a whole article on tuning the 1.2.
Unless you're bored, I don't see the point though. The 1.3 and 1.4 engines are a better starting point.

to be quite honest (i know this is a controversial topic) but i wouldnt bother doing serious mods to a 1.2 engine i would just go down the basic route of filter, exhaust etc because at the end of the day you could spend shedloads of cash trying to get 70-80bhp when you could get this for half of the price by fitting a 1.3/1.4 sr/sri engine

I'm acuttally in the process of putting a 2.0l 8valve in my car at the moment.

I just wanna play with a 1.2, not too worried as to how much it's gonna cost, as I had an insurance pay out a little while ago for a bike accident I had about a year ago.

Cheers
