I bought an Opel Corsa C Super 1600.

I hope it's ok, that i write about it, i know, it isn't a nova ;)

2007 get the corsa a new evo 2 bodyshell and a complette upgrade of evo 2 parts for engine, suspension, ...

At the moment H&R build me new shock absorbers with a slalom and hillclimb setup.

For the future i get lightweight doors, bonnet and a tailgate. So i hope i get it to 805kg. Have anyone an adress of a builder for corsa c lighweight parts?

today i was on the dyno-jet.

It's running very well and i have a good 2 at the front :)

The next step is to place the sponsors on the car and to buy slick and rain tyres for it. At the moment im Waiting about the new shock-absorbers from H&R.

At this day, i learned a lot about the corsa. The engine has a lot of power and the changes of gears is very fast to with the sequentiel gearbox. At make a lot of fun, to drive this car.

Hi, the rev limiter is at 9000 at the moment. 9500 is the max.

Are you using a steel crank ,I guess you are as it's a proper car ,what are the rough costs for a gearbox like yours and are they and spares available

Hi yes it's a steel crankshaft. The crankshaft can you get by swindon. A new Gearbox cost 2005 round about 27000€ but it's very difficult to get spare parts. So, if you want a seq. gearbox use a sadev st75. Ricardo has sold the motorsport department. If i can change the gearratio, so i would use a shorter first gear with this engine. I think its to long. under 4000 rpm is the engine dead ;)

On the next weekend i will build in the new maintenance gearbox and engine back in the corsa.
From H&R i get my new shock absorbers in the next 2 weeks.
The Corsa gets new front and rear bumper and the lightweight doors from fearless wants here way to the corsa, too.

So i think, i'm ready for the new season in 4 weeks.

So any time is gone but now the rebuild is over and the new suspension is installed.

The Corsa is now 6cm lower than with the old RML (Extreme Technology) dampers and i saved over 6kg. ;-)

The first race this year is done and the times was good. i was in the top 3 of 12 competitior in my class.


For the next time, i want to reduce the weight of the corsa.


So i'm looking for lightweight Bonnet and Tailgate and a Vauxhall Corsa GSI front bumper mk1.


I need from the bumper the grill with the vauxhall logo. If anyone have a front bumper from the mk1 pm me, please. The Bumper can be broken, i only need the grill with the black plastic. ;)

I'm in Billing this year and so i can pick up some parts there, if any one have anything ;)

Now it has 8x17 Rims with 230/605-17 Avon Slicks.

i'm sorry, but this year i don't plan it.

To get the corsa to england i need a sponsor ;) I asked last year a few Vauxhall dealer but no one was interesting for a small sponsorship. If i bring the Corsa back to england, so i want to combine it with an event. Hillclimb, Sprint oder Auto-X. Or Goodwood. ;-)

Has anyone a good connection to the Goodwood Festival of Speed? I'm thinking about to drive there. A little history has the Corsa, too. :-)

Update to the Corsa and my season




I finished the season on third in my class and 28. overall in the german championship. With this result i'm very happy. The bigger wheels and the new suspension works fine.


Now i start to maintenance the Corsa and it get some updates. The biggest update is the new lightweight parts.


So i will fit new Doors, tailgate, bonnet und polycarbonat windows on it. At the moment the parts are in the building process and i hope that i can fit it next month. :)


After this, the Corsa get a new design.

Hi, this tank is the old one. It isn't homologated anymore. And it's out of date for Motorsport use. :)

Sadly, my Gearbox ratio was to short, so i lost some seconds on the straight. But the Corsa works fine and it has no problems. So i was 9 of 19 driver in my class.


Unfortunately i found time for a small rollout before the event in Oschersleben but the Corsa runs good.

In Oschersleben was a scales, too. The Corsa has now a weight of 940kg without driver include patrol. I hoped, that all the updates saved more weight so i was a little bit disappointed about it.


I hope, that i can find another 40kg in the next winter with remove the sparetire holder and change a few other parts with lightweight parts.

You can drive my car in the Codemasters Video Game Dirt Rally 2. I was with codemasters two days on an airfield in germany for some sound and foto/video captures. Was very itneressting. The sound, you hear in codemasters are from my car.
