I got the nova from another PNG member
When I got it it had a 1.6 8 valve e16se engine out of a gte in it
But the bottom end had gone so I took it out

Found a low mileage Tigra

Removed the engine
Fitted new cam belt kit and water pump
New clutch and a F13 box
And fitted and rewired it.

Also the bonnet was badly dinted
And the interior was damaged and worn

I then found a complete mint GSI interior complete and fitted that.
Dash, seats, door cards everything

The shell was great no rust or rot anywhere
But at some point in its life it had a full respray
Myself and my painter couldn't get a match on the paint
We thought it was a Bentley colour
But it had a multi flip glitter in the lacquer

So it wouldn't look very good to paint the bonnet

ok bud so did you put the gsi interior in the nova and did the other member have a build thread of the paint job

So we decided to go for a contrast
The nova was a black with a glitter flip
So we went for a dark very high gloss grey

Painted the new bonnet
Rear boot grab handle
Mirror caps
Refurbed a set of astra fan blades
Fitted a set of GSI skirts
All painted in the same grey

The nova looked great and the engine was strong

Where did you get it from
I'd really like to see photos of it now

As I put lots of time and work in to this nova

Is the shell still really clean no rust rot anywhere
I built the car but the shell was very clean when I got it
But I fitted lots of brand new parts to it to make it the car it is now

I never put a project thread on PNG
Never had the car long and never used it
Just had it as a quick turn around and something
To do while I was building a nova GSI.

I'm really glad to see its still alive and from the photo
It still looks good
Please put more photos up

Where are you from
I'm from doncaster South Yorkshire
If I remember andy who you got it from
Had another nova as well?
