Can any one confirm if the black with yellow trace on the nova loom that comes out the bulkhead is needed? Mine has been cut it exits near the starter with the alternator wiring.? :thumb:

Black is usually an ignition live. Check your Haynes manual, the wiring diagrams are very good.

I think its somthing to do with the auto choke light mines tied up in the loom

Yeh but it has a yellow trace if that makes a difference. Reason iam asking is i have a problem when i start the car its as if its low on power the lights are dim constantly when i rev it the alternator starts to work the fuel pump gets full voltage. Iam confused what it can be??

Haynes shows it as the auto choke feed if it is/was a carb engine originally
As Andy said on Mig, it's a non needed wire.
