voltage drop on nova.

Ive got a weried elecy problem on my nova when i start it the voltmeter reads a quarter and can hear the fuel pump voltage dropping when i rev it the voltmeter goes to half and the pump gets full voltage if you know what i mean. Also the headlight are very dim. :confused:

If it stays up after you rev it then the switch live for the alternator isn't working and it's self exciting. If I drops back after you rev it then it need a new alternator.

Yeh once revved alls ok. The alternator is brand new. Will check the wiring to it.

Right what can i do to solve it then.? Its it a case of tracing the wiring.

Pretty much, just find the switch live (will come on with the ignition) and if you get a live at the end of the wire by the alternator then the alternator is at fault if you haven't got a live at the end of the wire then trace it back and look for a break in the wire.
