So the winter rebuild has begun on the Beloved Mk1 Saloon.
As i am not selling this car any time soon, i decided it was time for full rebuild and make it as mint as it was when it came out of the factory, with some minor modifications.
To be honest, the modifications to the body are that minor i would need to point them out to you

Started all well so far, all the rust has been removed and repair panels have been welded in and made flush.

Today is the day that all the windows come out for the major progress, pictures below :)

It wasn't bad mate, but the rear arches were starting to get quite bad with the rust. the drivers side was starting to go through into a hole, so i decided to have the hole thing done!
Didn't want any miss-match paint all over the car :)

Thanks mate, these pics were with a Nikon D3100, i use a HDR Software that refines the picture a bit more :)

It is the best time really mate, its a lot busier than the summer time i suppose because people want the cars done for show season, but where its being done, its not really too busy at the moment which is a bonus.
Number plate recess is tiny! Really wish i could get away with a reg plate that small lol

Yes mate same colour, keeping it original :)

arches are only very slightly flared. its gave me another 2mm or so, very subtle, i didnt want it ruining the original bodywork.
Wider tyres are a definite. 165/45R15's on an 8" wide wheel is plain stupid! lol
