Has anyone ever built a 1.4 out of a bored 1.3 block an 1.2st pistons then fitted the baby xe head?

i have a 1.4 block with 1.2 pistons in (does the exact same, just less of a rebore on it) i have a 16xe head i have thought many times about putting on, but i cant see why it wouldnt work apart from valve cut outs maybe..

EDIT: the only actual reason im not putting the 16xe head on is because i have a 16se blydenstein B++ head with twin 40s inlet to suit which took a long time to find!

did you have to skim the pistons to lower the CR

Id imagine the 16v head would work providing the CR ratio was ok. Its the CR issues that id like to know about.

Do the 16xe and the 14xe have the same combustion chamber volume?

Did a 1300 block 1.2 crank and pistons +60 overbore c14se head with webber twin 40's and a kent ast 19 with twin 40 delorto's made it 1431cc goes well and lasted ages

would that not just make a 1.2?

That makes no sense to me..

i havent worked out the c/r yet, but they sit nearly flush with the block! check my thread "mk1 daily"

i havnt seen that thread. looks good.

Id have thought that the 1400 block and 1600 head will make the CR really low. you might be better with a 1300 or sri head. at least you can always skim the head/block to get it up again.

1400 block is no taller than the 1300 as far as i know
