a truly great man has died, and the likes of him only come along once every couple of generations..
the injustice he had dealt on him was awful, yet he walked out of jail after 35 years & forgave everyone involved..

in Leicester, when he was still in jail, Leicester city council decided to name a park after him. an honourable gesture, you would think. but they chose a dog toilet next to Leicester prison, with 2 dual carriageways running by it.. its hardly a place of quiet contemplation.

so what other places were named after him & were they better thought out??

Il always remember a train bridge in Bridlington that had "free mr mandela now!" graffiti'd on it,that must have been when we holiday'd there in 89/90? dunno when it was put there obviously as I was very young when I saw it.
