c20xe wiring

just wondering what happens with the ecu thats in the car already if im going to do a c20xe conversion. do i remove the ecu from the passenger footwell or do i have to keep it. the c20xe ecu will be down at the drivers footwell and also looking at getting rid /move the wiring that runs under dash at the window i have no dash what so ever and just looking to see if i can tidy up the wiring?

Its redundant as you dont need it to run the xe

so does that mean i can remove some off the wiring at the top that runs along the bottom off the window im trying to get rid off all the wiring so it looks neater
