Bonnet catch and latch!

My bonnet catch mechansim is broke, cable looks past it and also the spring and catch have broke? Is it easy enough to replace or is there anything other then bonnet pins out there i could use to replace it? Its a mk1 saloon

Piss easy to replace the mech, but getting hold a new cable is gonna be far from easy.

I sold a used cable on eBay a few years ago for nearly £50, so make what you will of that....

Try lubing the whole cable assembly before doing any bidding on bits.

In my experience, the cable stiffens up, you then pull-harder on the handle & then said handles wimpy, plastic surround pulls free from the A-pillar & never actually wants to stayed clipped to the pillar again.

maybe a motorcycle cable with solderless nipple can be used
I would imagine a corsa b one would fit
